Advanced Machine Guarding Solutions extended their solution to fully implement zipCPQ into its organization.
One of the challenges AMGS was facing is to offer customers a simple and easy process of purchasing their products and, at the same time, offer interaction with the product before placing an order. They wanted a simple solution that covers all those needs to boost business efficiency and streamline operations and processes.
In the first phase of development, Helioz implemented zipCPQ’s Onshape Integrator for their Panels. In the second phase AMGS got a new and fresh website. The second phase also included an additional project – a configurator for Doors.

The door configurator features a 3D viewer, Bill of Material, and CAD download options. Users first configure the door by selecting their desired options and then add them to the RFQ. For registered users, the pricing is available on the bottom which updates with every change they make. Configurator logic is powered by Onshape, whose logic architecture is improved with interactions between options.

The configurator also supports only viable configuration options. For example, Single Sliding doors have a set System Height of 2200mm or 2800mm, while the Double Hinge doors have System Height varies from 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm, all the way to 2800mm.

The new website now features a Webshop where customers can browse through Posts, Light Curtain Mounts, Hardware, Cables, and Safety Electronics. Each product has limited options to be filtered by Type, Height, Width, or Material. Registered users can see the pricing of the products and can be automatically added to the cart and download a CAD file.
The Products section holds the description of every product and clicking on the desired one leads the customers to the webshop.

The CAD Models was also redesigned for better accessibility. The page contains options to download CAD models of Panels, Posts, Single Hinged Doors, Double Hinged Doors, and Sliding Doors.
